PTI MIM #242 – Sponge Stamping

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday challenge. The challenge was to use the sponge stamping technique as per the video tutorial.

I decided to use some very muted tones such as the black and gold so that my colourful bird would be the focal point of the card. I’ve used gold embossing powder on the frame and also on the edges of my black cardstock.  I  cut one of the garden gild dies with vellum to create the soft leaves and flowers behind the bird.
