Presents Card

It seems that the kids have begun another birthday season with party invites coming home every few days. It’s crazy – they have a better social life than their mum and dad! I thought it a good idea to stock up on some kid friendly birthday cards as the kids love giving their friends some homemade creations and hey I love making them. Plus have you seen the price of cards in the stationary shops?! They are so expensive… I can buy heaps more card making supplies with the money I save!

Anyhow I made this colourful little present card for a  girl’s party that is coming up. Apparently these are her favourite colours. I’ve used some foam tape on the piece with the presents to give the card some dimension and make the presents look like they are in front of the card. The stamp sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and the presents come from a much loved punch from Martha Stewart that has been in my stash for years.

I got my inspiration from a card by  Jenni Murray over at the Muse Challenge where I am playing along again this week. I loved her present card and also wanted to use the little black bows just like she has.

I am also entering the card in Seize The Birthday Challenge  where the challenge is to make a birthday card with dimension. It’s my first time entering one of their challenges.

Hopefully the little girl this is destined for will love it although she will probably more excited about the present! Em x

  1. What a very fun birthday card! I love your gift boxes, and with a punch you can customize it for the recipient…so clever!! Thank you for sharing this at Seize the Birthday!

  2. Love your colourful pressies it looks you could just pick one off the shelf …so please can have the biggest one??: ) and thank you for joining in with us this week over at Muse! x

  3. Love the super, fun colours you used; I’m sure that the recipient will love that you personalized the card with her favourite colours; love your interpretation of Jenni’s Muse card; Hmmm – if Jenni has claimed one of the large gift boxes, then I’d love a small one (because, good things come in small boxes – right?)
