A quick post from me tonight as I am flat out but wanted to share my card for the latest challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. This week we have a sketch to play with!
I have been searching everywhere for birch tree looking paper but other than paying an obscene amount of money on postage I have found nothing. Instead I did find some contact paper from Kmart and so I have adhered this to my card base which has a really interesting texture especially to such a CAS card.
Thanks for looking! Have a great week… Em x
This week we are celebrating CAS Colours & Sketches 5th Birthday! Be sure to check out the CAS Colours and Sketches Blog this week for details on some great giveaways and prizes.
Samantha is our host this week and she had chosen some great birthday looking colours with this trio!
I have been so busy making Christmas cards that it was nice to create a birthday card for this challenge! To be fair though I did use Christmas stamps on my card as they were out on my desk but it is always nice to be able to use Christmas stamps for more than just one purpose. These cute cars are from Papertrey Ink and then I have used a sentiment from MFT.
I hope you will find some time this week to play along with our CAS Colours & Sketches 5th Birthday celebrations.
Have a great week! Em
I have been so busy making Christmas cards that even though it is only November I decided I needed to take a break and just create! When I saw the new challenge at Scrapbook Boutique using one of their really pretty moodboards I knew it would be the perfect thing to get me out of my creative slump.
Here is the really pretty red themed moodboard…
I chose to stick to the red and white theme with a CAS one layered card using an Altenew set and a variety of their red toned inks to layer my flowers.
Thanks for visiting today! Em
It has been a super busy week in my household. On Sunday these gorgeous little guys arrived!
Unfortunately their mum has had a hard time and I am hand-rearing all four. They feed every 3 hours so it has been like have newborns all over again. I forgot how hard those early days with babies is and just how crappy sleep deprivation makes you feel. However it is all worth it and I feel so blessed to be watching and helping these little ones!
Anyway I was a bit worried that I might not have a card this week for the CAS Colours and Sketches Sketch challenge. Fortunately I have been able to sneak in a little bit of crafty time.
Here is this week’s sketch…
And here is what I came up with…
I hope you get a chance to play along this week! Don’t forget to check out all the Design Team Inspiration on the blog!
Have a great week! Em
It’s November and so I am handing over hosting at CAS Colours and Sketches to Samantha who has come up with a great silver and green colour challenge for us to all play along with this week.
I’ve used an Altenew set to stamp some layered leaves and then I have heat embossed the co-ordinating berries in metallic silver. I noticed some of the embossing powder has stuck to the leaves (despite using my anti-static) but I decided I quite like the look of the sparkle on the leaves.

Have a great week!
