I am back today with a card for the latest sketch challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. This month Bev is our host and she has come up with this sketch for the week…
As soon as I saw the sketch I thought of a sun. It may have something to do with the really hot weather we are experiencing right now! I still find it so strange to read blogs from around the world and hear people commenting about the cold!
I’ve used one of the Hero Arts sets for my card and created my sun with some basic ink blending. I heat embossed the tree with black and although I quite like the black on black look (it is not so subtle in real life) I’m not 100% sure that it works! I’ve also kept it very CAS – maybe too CAS? I’m not sure is there such a thing as too CAS?!
Anyway it was fun to play around with this sketch and create something a little different to what I normally do. I hope you get a chance to play along this week. Lovely ink blending and such an atmospheric scene. Great use of the sketch. It’s really cold here in UK at the moment!
