Hakuna Matata

My new kit from My Monthly Hero has finally arrived and I have been so excited to play with it. Unfortunately I am still sick and my youngest has a double ear infection so craft time is not high in the agenda. I made this latest card on the coffee table whilst nursing my little boy. It is amazing the multi-tasking you can do when you really put your mind to it!

My card is for the newest sketch challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.

And here is my card…

Have a great week! Em

Ahhhhh!!!!!

My title of this post really sums it up ahhhhhhh… as much I have tried to avoid getting sick I have finally succumbed to the horrible bug that has had all 3 of my kids horribly sick and my husband come down with this “man cold”. Which for all you ladies out there is apparently sooooo much worse than a “woman cold.”

Anyway this will be a quick post before I dose myself up and curl up on the couch until school pick up.

This week over at CAS Colours and Sketches we are working with colours!

And here is what I cam up with…

You and me v1

I’ve used a stamp set from Clearly besotted and some embossed vellum for the opening of my window. I’ve embossed my sentiment with metallic copper powder. I also managed to drop the container and have made a wonderful metallic copper mess all over my craft desk!

Have a great week and don’t forget to visit the CAS Colours and Sketches blog to get some inspiration from the Design team. I can’t wait to see your creation! Em

To The Stars…

Well it is time again for a brand new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and this time we are playing with a sketch!

Maybe it has something to do with some of the space homework I have been helping my son with but I immediately saw planets as soon as I spotted this sketch! Thanks goodness I actually own a cute Lawn Fawn set that has lots of different sized planets to work in with the circles.

Love you to thre stars card

I used a strip of pink/purple glitter paper down the side for a bit of bling and made my planets nice and bright to pop against the black background.

Don’t forget to stop and take a peek at the other design team cards for this week and hopefully we will see some of your cards in the link up! Have a great week! Em

Donut Worry

It’s time for a brand new challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches and this week we have a brand new colour challenge.

Here are the colours:

As soon as I saw the colour crumb cake I immediately starting craving cake which in turn inspired me to create a donut card using one of the yummy images from Simon Says Stamp.

Donut happy
